Since a young child Ali has been very fortunate to grow up in a farming family. As a child she grew up around dairy cattle, beef cattle, and horses. At the age of 8 she was competing on the B Circuit in English Equitation. Her parents hauled her down the road every weekend for years.

At 10 her father got into Team Penning, which became her passion. For a few years she juggled both then decided to stick with the penning. She loved having to read the cattle and the challenge of out smarting them. The intrigue of winning money didn't hurt either. Throughout Junior High and High School she traveled all over the United States every weekend to different sanctioned shows. By 13 Ali was traveling without her parents and down the road with her teammates most of the time. Because of all the showing Ali decided to graduate a full year early from High School. In that same year she won both the AQHYA World and Reserve World Championship Titles in Team Penning. She then went to Northwest College in Powell, WY for a year before returning home at 17. Ali then went to work as a Vet Tech for Merritt & Associates Equine Hospital, Wauconda, IL for a year. She realized at that point that she wanted to pursue a career in the equine field. Realizing that dentistry is the one thing that was missing in most vets practices and is so extremely important. She sought out a school and found the Texas Institute of Equine Dentistry.
To graduate from TIED (Texas Institute of Equine Dentistry) Ali had to fulfill certain requirements. Some of these requirements included completing three seperate courses for a total amount of 280 hours of schooling. After she completed that, she was required to take a head neck and anatomy class which included, completely dissecting a cadaver head. Finally Ali turned in 100 documented cases over the last year. All of these requirements had to be completed in one year's time of the first class.
In 2005 Ali recieved her certification at the Weatherford Texas school. She continues to attend classes and is working towards her Advanced Certification.
