What are wolf teeth and where are they located?
A wolf tooth is a remnant of a pre-molar. Which can be found on both the maxilla (upper jaw) and sometimes the mandible (lower jaw). The reasons for extracting wolf teeth are that they can cause pain and even possibly can fracture when the bit hits them (due to the fact that this tooth has hardly any root system to suport it.)
As you look below at the tooth marked #5 you will see how the wolf tooth lays in relation to the first premolars and how it can be easily in the way.
